For Chelsea Belushi it’s simple: her job is to make women look beautiful.
Chelsea has had an affinity for hair color and composition since she was able to braid it. After completing her training at Aveda Chicago and Vidal Sassoon Santa Monica, Chelsea worked at Serge Normant at John Frieda in Los Angeles before joining Meche Salon when it opened its doors.
She spent three years under the tutelage of L’Oreal Color Ambassador Kari Hill, and now employs her own vast knowledge of the newest color lines and techniques to create natural looking hair color for her clients. Chelsea is a great listener and loves turning her clients’ ideas into something they can smile back at in the mirror, but also loves to offer advice on an individual basis to come up with a plan together. She is known for bringing stunning dimension to year-round blondes and instilling natural yet multidimensional complexity to brunettes.
Besides styling, her favorite use of color is to adjust and develop the look of fine hair into its greatest potential for enviable health and shine, and is an expert in color correction for clients who are looking to change their look entirely–from brunette to blonde or vice versa. Chelsea has always seen the salon experience as a refuge for women to leave feeling refreshed and restored, and loves being able to bring this service to her clients with a laugh and a smile.
